The National Resistance Movement (NRM) is a political party in Uganda that has been the dominant force in the country's politics since it came to power in 1986. Since then, Museveni and the NRM have maintained control over the country's political landscape, winning successive elections and implementing policies that they argue are aimed at stabilizing and developing Uganda.
