Yes. But it should be up to the teachers and principal if they want to carry a gun and it has to be concealed with proper training.

 @8CQF7VF from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long as they are licensed and trained on how to use it and they are responsible enough not to lose it.

If a teacher would like to carry to protect their students, they should be trained to do so safely. I believe our children are our most precious asset of this country every school should have a trained and armed guard to protect them. My plan would be to create a Federally funded program to hire returning veterans of our armed forces to protect our schools. These are men and women trained to run into danger, and as we saw in Parkland, the school resource officer was too afraid to go stop the shooter.

All teachers should be required to get there CCW and be allowed, not required, but allowed to carry at school.

Yes, if there is a system that trains the teachers that want to carry a fire arm. Then they have a certification. But the school should have a say weather or not they want teachers to possess firearms in their school.

There are some teachers I would not want carrying a gun but others yes.

 @8RK4N9X from Idaho  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, because if there is a shooter in the school and the teachers don't have a gun to protect the students, then there is a chance that people might end up dying.

 @8RW26DX from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

No, schools should hire veterans from the community and have them guard with nonlethal weapons.

 @8TKPJXZ from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after training, background checks and psychological testing.

 @8VT28F4 from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

yes but the teacher needs to have extensive training and only a few people should know

 @8X3LCNH from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

If security was tighter at the schools, there would be no need for teachers to have guns. Use scanners such as the ones in airports, walk-through style at the entrance of each school. If people can't get weapons in the school such as a knife or gun, teachers won't need one either.
