No. Why is it up to the US to dictate what another country decides is its capital? The only reason this is a debated topic is because of the religious connotations involved and we are supposed to separate church and state. Stop with the Abrahamic biases.

Jerusalem should become an independent holy nation, similar to Vatican City, that is owned by neither Israel or Palestine but welcomes citizens of any nation as religious pilgrims.
